Main Features & Benefits
This kit allows you to convert your mechanical steering to electric power steering, ideal for small vintage cars and collector vehicles. With the electric motor integrated into the column, say goodbye to hoses, leaks, or visible pumps. It reduces steering effort while maintaining a natural driving fluidity, especially at low speeds, with progressive adjustment of the assistance.

Operation
A torque sensor detects the effort applied to the steering wheel; the ECU then commands the motor to increase or decrease its assistance.
In case of a malfunction, the assistance gradually decreases without locking the steering, thanks to a safety mechanical clutch.
Economic Advantage
Since this system operates only on demand, it consumes significantly less than a hydraulic pump, without maintenance or leaks. This helps reduce maintenance costs and avoid consumables.
Installation and Compatibility
The installation requires 6 to 10 hours of work and involves cuts/welds on the original column; professional installation is recommended.
The kit is designed to be universal, compatible with a wide range of older models, Mini, Morgan, Peugeot, Volkswagen, etc. Some models require a suitable mounting frame, either provided or to be fabricated. The units are often TÜV certified.
