Electric power steering kit for Citroën DS and ID.

This electric power steering kit has been specially designed for the DS, it includes a complete column assisted by electric power steering.
No welding or cutting of the original column is required, we provide you with a new column ready to be installed on your iconic Citroën DS.
This allows you to keep your original column for a possible reversal.
This steering system comes with a potentiometer to adjust the steering stiffness according to your driving style.
It is also equipped with a safety feature that allows you to drive in case of electrical failure (you will have manual non-assisted steering).

Please note that for ID and DS with a single-piece steering wheel, the column needs to be cut and welded to retain the original steering wheel.

For 6-volt versions, a converter battery is available to switch from 6v to 12v to power the power steering motor (optional).

The installation is simple and fun, taking approximately 4 to 6 hours of labor.
